Invitation-Only Pilot Program – Organized by the Nashville Health Care Council – Leveraged Peer Mentoring to Enhance Leadership Skills in the Health Care Field

NASHVILLE, TN (12/2018) – endevis, a leader in professional recruitment services, is pleased to announce that Chris Nichols, Client Solutions Manager, has completed the pilot for the Greater Nashville Leadership Health Care Cohort Mentoring Program for Marketing & Communications professionals.

The invitation-only program was organized by the Leadership Health Care, an initiative of the Nashville Health Care Council to nurture the talents of future leaders. The program was designed to facilitate peer mentoring in a small group setting centered around a common focus area.  Additionally, they would cover substantive health care topics, such as opportunities and challenges in a focus area, as well as leadership skills and career advancement.

Nichols was chosen among 12 out of dozens of applicants to participate in the “Health Care Communications and Marketing Cohort.” The group was led by mentor Kearstin Patterson, Vice President of Creative Services, at HCA Healthcare. The co-lead was Scott Saunders, Senior Manager – Population Health, of LifePoint Health.  Twelve additional applicants were selected for the “Health Care Technology Cohort,” led by mentor Tod Fetherling, CEO of Perception Health and co-lead by Meagan Brasher, Director of Product Management at naviHealth.

Under the leadership of the mentors, the groups met six times between early September and late December. Nichols, who completed the final meeting on December 18, was thrilled with the many insights gleaned from the program, and excited about opportunities to utilize what he learned to the benefit of endevis clients. “Without question, this was time well spent and educational,” Nichols said. “The group delved deep into timely topics such as Change Management, Market Research, and Executive Coaching and worked together to develop workable solutions that I can’t wait to share with my colleagues. The worlds of heath care and recruitment are constantly evolving, and innovative programs like these are vital in terms of staying ahead of the trends and continuing to provide value for our clients.”
