BACKGROUND
I am an Arkansas born and raised. Yeehaw! I have done recruiting for 8 years and in between my two stents in recruiting I worked in different facets of Health care including HR, Education/Teaching and Simulation. I have always loved recruiting and helping people. CINQ Care has been may favorite client to date. I love the mission and passion that they have for the Urban population of NY. Also, I love pasta and long drives with the windows down and the music up.;)
CAREER HISTORY
It all started at the age of 14 with my first job at Chick-fil-a……..Just kidding…. not need to go back that far. I got my start in recruiting for a for profit college at the age of 28. That led to a promotion from Admission Recruiter to Senior 2 Recruiter after a year of hitting some really hard goals and during the 2008 student loan crisis, or so I called it. Then, I did a brief stent in a small family owned Staffing agency where I quickly realized that day staffing was not my thing. From there, I did two Contract Corporate Recruiting roles. The first contract was extended. When the second contract ended, the offered me a job as an HR coordinator. However, I had already had my site set on opening a in-home daycare for which was very successful for two years. After that, I became a foster parent to 3 different medically fragile children. At which time, I took a contract job for two different hospital working in Simulation and Education. When my foster children found their forever homes, I started applying to get back into the recruiting field as I had missed it greatly. While trying to find a recruiting job, and after losing my contract work when Covid started, I took a job as a Tech in the Covid ICU for 1 1/2 years. During this time, I went back to school and finished all of my basics to start Nursing school. Just as I was finishing up my basics, I was finally offered a job back in recruiting. That first job back into was in the Industrial industry for for Advantage xPO. Not my fav. When I found out about the job with endevis for recruiting for the Healthcare industry, I was very excited. And, after learning of CINQ Care’s mission, I felt this was the best fit for me. Shortly after starting, my amazing manager, to my surprise, offered me a Team Lead role. While there have been many challenges to overcome with working with a new client and getting things established, I wouldn’t trade it. I truly love endevis and the leadership here.
NICHE/SUCCESS STORIES
So far, recruiting for the healthcare industry has been my favorite.
ENDEVIS
Endevis has been a breath of fresh air for me. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt such support from leadership. I have been very impressed with with the leadership of Lee Gibson and Lauren Helm. They have been there with me every step of this new journey. I am so very grateful. And, I am learning a lot.
OUTSIDE OF WORK
My favorite hobbies include acting and the arts. If you know what name to look for, you might find me on IMBD. Karaoke is my jam. Fun fact, I once came in 2nd place in a country singing karaoke contest and won a huge silver belt buckle. Ha! My favorite go to songs are anything Reba or Adele. My most recent shows were Kevin Hart and a concert with Jewel, The Blues Travelers and Train. Both were fantastic! Also, I have an Etsy page where I make and sell simple bracelets, earrings, bookmarkers, keychains, etc.
FAVORITES
I love any apocalyptic show or movie such as The Walking Dead Series (all of them).
My two favorite quotes just so happen to come from my favorite person, Reba!
“To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone, and a funny bone.”
AND
“Be different, stand out, and work your butt off.”
